The photographer

Jean-Luc Clercq-Roques has early been influenced by images and transparency. Besides having been a photographer for some fifty years, he has also worked with light as a stained glass artist, a watercolour artist and a projectionist, all activities having to do with light.

He realized numerous pictures in the streets and landscapes in traditional black&white photography. Then, he switched to digital photography to shoot concert scenes and, still, landscapes.

He then came back to film photography and large format. He now enjoys very much wet-plate collodion, a technique dating back to 1851 then abandoned in the 1880s with the arrival of dry plate.
